Mini Sweet Pepper and Bacon Boats

10 – 12 mini peppers *
4 oz. cream cheese
1-2 Tbsp. green onions, sliced
4 slices bacon *
fried until crisp, cooled, crumbled.
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ cup shredded cheddar * and extra for topping
1 tsp. Worchester sauce
Ground black pepper
Chopped cilantro optional

Start with the bacon. Fry until crisp. Set aside to cool. Meanwhile cut peppers in half horizontally to make “boats”.  Remove all membranes and seeds. When the pepper shape is irregular and only one boat is possible chop, remaining pepper into tiny pieces.  Set aside.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a small bowl beat together the cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, cheddar, black pepper and Worchester sauce. Fold in bacon and some of the chopped pepper. Better less than more, too much moisture will affect the cheese mixture.
On greased baking pan (I prefer one with higher edges.) Sprinkle cheddar over each pepper boat.
Bake until cheese is bubble and peppers have softened, for 10-12 minutes. Enjoy.
